Environmental Stewardship
Sensitive management of natural resources, or stewardship, is a high priority in the Canadian oil and gas industry. Canada's federal and provincial governments work with industry, stakeholders and public interest groups to develop regulations that are efficient, attainable and enforceable. The industry continually strives to improve, meet or surpass regulatory standards for air, water, land and waste management.
Another high priority for the industry, and a critical component of daily operations, is to promote health and safety on the job and in communities located near oil and gas drilling and production facilities.
